Nesting

Well... it is official... I am in nesting mode getting ready for Baby Dolibois. This week I had my carpets and title cleaned, washed the livingroom curtains, washed all the baby clothes and blankets, and as of this evening the backroom which will double as a guest/baby room is finally liveable. We reorganized and purged and reorganized again all day today. Lucas was a trooper "helping" out. I still have a few "to do's" on my list, but I guess that is always how it will be. We will be sure to keep everyone posted!

Grandma and Grandpa Visit Houston

We had a wonderful visit with Grandma and Grandpa last weekend. Despite Ryan feeling under the weather, this did not impede the playing of "real golf" as Lucas calls it (going to a real golf course). Apparently, he did pretty well driving, chipping, and putting... that's my boy. When asked what he wanted to be for Halloween (we are still trying to understand the "pretend" and dress up part of Halloween) he stated... Sergio Garcia. For those that do not eat, drink, and live golf he is top Fed Ex Cup golfer from Spain. I tried to explain that last year he was a golfer and that maybe he wanted to be something else this year like a fireman. However, according the look on his face I don't think he was at all convinced. So we will see what happens!

Gift Giving

I decided it would be fun to post some websites that I have found, or people have directed me to, that have some fun gift ideas. Given that the holidays are coming up...I thought they would be helpful. If you have any others that you like please pass them along!

This site Crate-e-Family has some great personalized "blocks" at a reasonable price. My friend just started her own ecofriendly stationary business, b.wisepaper. She has a ton of cute cards. If you have a baby or toddler to shop for check out these sites, Etsy, Mimi the Sardine, Swanky Blooms, and Sofia Bean. Wanting a unique gift for a your mom, sister, or friend? Check out Etsy or Espadrille Shoes. Needing to give someone a purse or laptop bag!

Another gift idea that we have started in our family is magazines. They are awesome gifts because you get them every month and they are usually very reasonably priced. Does anyone else have fun, simple, cost effective gift ideas for Christmas? I know you are thinking... she is already talking about Christmas gifts. But with a little one coming in November I figured I better start thinking about gifts now... that and I LOVE thinking about and getting gifts for people!! Happy gift hunting!
